Few people, including myself, had ever heard of Barack Hussein Obama a year before he joined the US Senate. Yet, in less than a year after he joined this most exclusive of political clubs, he was preparing himself to make a run for the highest office in the land, and some would say in the world…the office of the President of the United States.

But who was this unknown who rose up out of seemingly nowhere to become the most powerful man in the world? Four years into his presidency, there remains many mysteries about our 44th president. Even scarier, there seems to be little interest by mainstream media or left leaning citizens to look into this man’s mysterious past. If you have the time, ask yourself why are the following documents or records sealed? I’m talking about his Occidental College Records, his Columbia College Records, his Columbia Thesis Paper, his Selective Service Registration, his medical records, his Illinois State Senate Schedule, his Illinois State Senate Records, his law practice client list, his certified copy of his original birth certificate, his signed embossed paper certificate of live birth, his Baptism record, and what country’s passport did he use when he traveled to Pakistan in 1981? If there’s nothing to any of this, why are they sealed? If there is nothing to hide, as the adage goes, why the secrecy? Besides, what about his claim to preside over the most transparent administration?

Some speak of him as the Manchurian Candidate. For many, something seemed amiss, that’s for sure. As for his supporters, it seemed none of these omissions or discrepancies mattered to them. In their eyes this was just another right wing attempt to smear the president they held in such high esteem. My question was this, why would anyone warn their own children about behind strangers, then do so themselves as adults? What did anyone really know about Obama? Actually, no more than the next person standing in line with them. All they knew was that he was a democrat and that he looked Black (he’s actually mixed) and this seemed to be good enough for them. Who cared about job experience? What did it matter that he had a spotty past history. What difference did it make that he was friends with left wing radicals? To the misinformed and the uninformed, it didn’t matter because he was their deliverer, their Black Messiah.

From what we know about him, Obama’s policies tend to wax socialist in nature. And from my readings, Obama’s background provides great insight as to why he feels the way he does about America. His father was a committed communist. He was only in Barack’s life until the age of two. His father was one of many who advised his pro-western government to redistribute income through higher taxation and wrote about his disdain and distrust of the capitalist system while quoting Karl Marx. As for Barack’s mother, she appears to have been the dominant figure in his formidable years, according to his own words.
